QR code, also known as Semicode is a recent mobile technology 
used all over the world. It is most common in Japan and China, where 
it is used in magazines, on billboards and posters, on websites and
much more. The code embodies bits of information like URL links, text 
messages, phone numbers or sms. Upon taking a photograph of the code 
a message appears on the screen of the phone revealing what is
in the code. Unlike here in America, most mobile phones in Japan 
and China are programmed with the reader needed to do the decoding. 
Readers can be downloaded from the internet to a few brands of phone 
sold in the U.S, but not many people have it, want it or know what
it is....at least not yet.
