        		PARTICIPANT ONE:

Q: Were the instructional videos helpful for you to see before hand,
or would you rather not have seen any of them and made up the moves as
					you went along?
They were informative and inspiring. As a fan of regimentation, I
think there was plenty-to-too-much variation on the dancefloor anyway.
And your outfit should not go un-commented upon; so there.

Q: Did any bystanders say or do anything in reaction to your dancing?
I accidentally raptor swiped a stranger. I should have just went with
it, but I apologized. I regret that. There was a pre-teen girl who seemed
to be excited about us -- she may have even been taking pictures. I think
she got an arty vibe and was attracted to it. There was also a little wee
spazz dancer who liked the energy, which was good. I was vaguely aware at
some point of seeming like some type of church or missionary group.

Q: Did you feel awkward at any point? Did you feel empowered at any point?
I felt awkward doing "head-shoulders-knees-toes," and fudged it
considerably. I like to think I'm a good soldier, but in fact my own
personal aesthetic mission sometimes gets in the way of the correct
performance of my duties. I put on airs. It is no virtue. I
					apologize.

Q: Did dancing in a group of participants work better for you than
dancing individually scattered among the crowd?
I was annoyed that I was not able to successfully get the group to the
					middle of the dancefloor, which is my vastly preferred dancing space;
not sure how that would have affected your camerawork. I would have
liked to have seen more scattering.

Q: Did you discover any new dance moves that you will do on a regular basis?
					Always.

Q: Was it annoying to have to keep checking your cell phones for instructions?
I find everything about cell phones annoying, so yes. Also, the sight
of a dancing person pulling out a cell phone is, for me, a big
turn-off. Again -- sometimes when we all pulled out our phones at
once I thought perhaps we looked like a Christian group, or maybe a
"Heaven's Gate"-type operation on our last night celebration. The
					Leader kept texting us.

Q: Would you participate in this again?
					Of course.

Q: What was your favorite dance move? What was your least favorite?
I was very distressed to see I missed "act like an elephant."
Conversely, I was predictably appalled by the excesses that
accompanied "act like a monkey." I do not go out at night so I can
get my leg humped! Again, this is my personal aesthetic mission
					butting up the larger goals.

				PARTICIPANT TWO:

Q: Did any bystanders say or do anything in reaction to your dancing?
There was a woman who asked us about our t-shirts when we were at
the water fountain. when we explained what they were for she said that
we should tell you that there was a positive reaction from the crowd.
Also while we were doing the robot a girl our age came up to us and asked
if we were doing the robot. She was really excited and started doing it
with us. When I told her about the project she was intrigued and stuck
around for a while, but mainly watched when things got a little crazier.
I think there were a couple of other people that asked what was going on too.

Q: Did you feel awkward at any point? Did you feel empowered at any point?
As you know I feel awkward most of the time any way. I was worried about
the physical safety of bystanders at several points, namely the "dance like
a maniac" and "do yoga" instructions. Also it was a funny feeling to do the
same move over and over for a long period of time. I was self conscious about
what people were thinking of me when we were scattered and I just had to "wave
my hands in the air" for an entire song. I really liked it when the people
sitting near us would laugh at what we were doing. Like during the "dance like
MC Hammer" I could tell people really thought it was funny and were entertained.

Q:Did dancing in a group of participants work better for you than dancing
				    individually scattered among the crowd?
Dancing in a group definitely made it easier to do some of the crazier
moves.I don't think I could've acted like a monkey by myself in the crowd.
That being said I did like the feeling when we were scattered in ones and
twos and I could see that people in between us were mimicking some of the
					moves we were doing.

Q:Did you discover any new dance moves that you will do on a regular basis?
No though "move like jello" helped me work on my ass shaking.

Q: Was it annoying to have to keep checking your cell phones for instructions?
NO! It was so exciting. I was planning on keeping my cell in my pocket
but was so excited for new moves that I kept it in my hand. When I would get
a new one I would say "Yes!" and because my cell phone usually got the text
firsts everyone would ask what I got and get excited that one would be comign
for them soon.... or not. The unpredictability of it all was really fun.

Q: Would you participate in this again?
					Yes!

Q: What was your favorite dance move? What was your least favorite?
Favorite was the MC Hammer and move like jello. Least favorite was
act like a monkey because it makes you look pretty stupid and was hard
to adapt into a dance move.

				PARTICIPANT THREE:

Q: Were the instructional videos helpful for you to see before hand, or
would you rather not have seen any of them and made up the moves as you
 				    went along?
The videos were helpful, although I was unable to see most of them
since youtube said they weren't available. But I would see others do
them and then copy what they were doing. I think having a guide is good
but being able to add your own moves in the mix is fun.

Q: Did any bystanders say or do anything in reaction to your dancing?
Many stared wondering what the group was, many laughed and looked like
they were jealous of our fun!, some took pictures, and some joined.
Kids in particular had alot of fun.

Q: Did you feel awkward at any point? Did you feel empowered at any
					point?
I felt awkward when I was doing dances that were weird to me or that I
didn't know. I felt empowered when the group was doing a dance we all
thought was fun and let lose with. I liked the grapevine for the group
and the robot since those i knew and like to mix up, plus it went well
					with a group type situation.

Q: Did dancing in a group of participants work better for you than
dancing individually scattered among the crowd?
Yes, but it's more since I'm more of a self-conscious person at times I
think. The group element makes it easier to let go of self-conscious
					feelings.

Q: Did you discover any new dance moves that you will do on a regular
					basis?
Well not on a regular basis necessarily, since the robot pretty much
dominates my dance abilities. But the dance from footloose should
probably come out at a dance floor sometime soon.

Q: Was it annoying to have to keep checking your cell phones for
					instructions?
Yes, but it was mainly due to the lack of service I got. I think if my
phone got better service, I would have been confident to leave it in my
pocket and go with the flow.

Q: Would you participate in this again?
Yes. It was alot of fun.

Q: What was your favorite dance move? What was your least favorite?
Favorite was the robot. Least favorite was the act like a monkey.
