Saturday, December 1 2007 the first trial of TEXT TEXT DANCE took 
place. It is an interactive dance party where people dance according to 
instructions they receive on their cell phones. We met inside

The Brooklyn Museum. The group met at the entrance of the museum
where they received additional information. Everyone wore a yellow 
shirt. The museum was free entry and the dance party lasted from 9pm 
to 11pm. Everyone showed up ready to dance! 

There were 3 different groups of 3-5 people programmed in my phone. 
I send out one instruction to 1 or 2 groups at a time. Occasionally 
all three groups got the same message.  There were 14 participants.  At 
least 10 bystanders participated by imitating the participants throughout 
the night. 31 different instructions were sent throughout the night.

This was optional for the participants.  They chose to look 
at them or not look at them and improvise the dance when they got
the instruction....
